Product Description
Stainless steel welded pipe, referred to as welded pipe, commonly used steel or steel strip after the unit and mold crimping forming steel pipe made of welding. Welding steel pipe production process is simple, high production efficiency, variety specifications, less investment in equipment, but the general strength is lower than seamless steel pipe.

316L stainless steel welded pipe is a kind of basic pipe, so it also has a lot of hard and necessary indicators, including many aspects, we want to talk about the hardness of 16L stainless steel welded pipe. According to the test method and the different range of use, the hardness can be divided into Brinell hardness, Rockwell hardness, Vickers hardness, Shaw hardness, microhardness and high temperature hardness. For pipes commonly used are Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers hardness three.
1, Brinell hardness (HB with a certain diameter of steel ball or carbide ball, to delimit the test force (F) into the style surface, after delimit the retention time to remove the test force, measurement of the specimen surface indentation diameter (L) Brinell hardness value is the test force divided by the indentation spherical surface area obtained. Expressed by HBS(steel ball), the unit is N/mm2(MPa), the calculation formula is: F-- pressed into 316L stainless steel welded pipe sample surface test force, N, D-- test steel ball diameter, MMD -- indentation uniform diameter, mm. Measurement of brinell hardness is more correct and reliable, but generally HBS is only used for 450N/mm2(MPa) below the metal material, for harder steel or thin 316L stainless steel welded pipe is not suitable. In 316L stainless steel welded pipe scale, Brinell hardness is the most widely used, often to indentation diameter D to represent the hardness of the material, both intuitive and convenient.
For example, 120HBS10/1000130 means that the Brinell hardness value measured by a 10mm diameter steel ball under the action of 1000Kgf(9.807KN) test force is 120N/mm2(MPa), and the Brinell hardness value is maintained for 30s(seconds).
2. Rockwell hardness (HK) Rockwell hardness test, like Brinell hardness test, is an indentation test method. The difference is that the indentation depth is measured, that is, the indenter (cone or steel ball) is pressed into the surface of the sample under the action of the initial test force (Fo) and the total test force (F). After the holding time is defined, the main test force is removed, and the hardness value is calculated using the measured increment of residual indentation depth (E). Its value is A nameless number, represented by the symbol HR, and the ruler used is A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, K and so on. Which is often used for 316L stainless steel welded pipe hardness test ruler is generally A, B, C, namely HRA, HRB, HRC. Hardness value is calculated by the following formula: HR= 100-E when scale A and C are used for testing, HR= 130-E when scale B is used for testing, where E -- the increment of residual indentation depth is shown in the specified unit of 0.002mm, that is, when the indenter's axial displacement is one unit (0.002mm), it is commensurate with the change of Rockwell hardness by A number.
